The entire Bay Area is anticipated to welcome approximately 260,000 visitors from outside of the region. This year’s tournament will be the largest in FIFA history, featuring an expanded 48-team format with matches hosted across three separate countries.
What can visitors expect in terms of hotel availability?
Based on trends from previous high-profile events at Levi’s® Stadium, hotel rooms in and around Santa Clara are expected to sell out quickly, especially at properties closest to the stadium. Some hotels have a three-to-four-night minimum stay, so visitors are encouraged to book early and enjoy the full experience.

Before Jordan and Algeria took the pitch at the San Francisco Bay Area Stadium, Santa Clara was already alive with World Cup energy.
Flags filled the streets. Chants echoed through the crowd. Fans from different cultures came together to celebrate the game, the moment, and the global spirit of the @fifaworldcup.
With 68,371 fans inside the stadium, the energy outside was just as powerful. More than a match, it was a reminder of what makes this tournament special: people from around the world, gathered in one city, sharing one love for the game.
