Totally tubular news, library fans! Mark your calendars for Saturday, October 10 and cruise over to Central Park Library from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. for an outrageously awesome, FREE all-ages celebration of comics, creativity, imagination, and radical retro pop-culture fun!
For one gnarly day only, the Library is transforming into the ultimate fandom hangout packed with graphic novels, cosplay, gaming, art, and hands-on activities guaranteed to blow your mind. We’re teaming up with local artists, comic shops, cosplayers, makers, authors, and gamers for an epic community bash celebrating reading, fandom, and creative expression in totally stellar style.
Wander through Artist Alley, scope out the Comic Book Pavilion, catch far-out panels and creator signings, roll into tabletop gaming, chow down at awesome food trucks, make geeky crafts, and snap pics with your favorite costumed heroes. You’ll even get to meet some of the city’s coolest departments and community partners. Whether you’re a hardcore comic collector or just discovering the world of fandom, Comic Con has something righteous for everybody and is your backstage pass to experiencing the Library like never before.
This year’s bodacious featured guests include Judd Winick, Christopher Schenck, 和 Brandon McKinney, with special appearances by Briana Loewinsohn, Thien Pham, 和 Gene Yang. Plus, we’re stoked to welcome back featured artists Mai Blasich (PMBQ Studios) and Genevieve Santos (Le Petit Elefant).
