Matcha Magic Workshop: A Whiskful Journey is a hands-on class at Jiaren Cafe in Santa Clara that introduces participants to traditional matcha preparation, Japanese tea tools, and modern matcha drinks. The workshop is offered on multiple dates.
Led by an instructor, participants will learn how to prepare and whisk matcha using traditional utensils, explore steps and customs associated with the Japanese tea ceremony, and learn about the cultural significance behind the practice. The workshop also covers both ceremonial and cafe-style whisking techniques.
Participants will put those techniques into practice by creating their own matcha latte or mocktail variation. The experience also includes a matcha tasting and traditional sweet pairing.
