FAQs for Football’s Biggest Night
How many visitors do you anticipate traveling to Santa Clara for the game?
The SF Bay Area, host of the upcoming Super Bowl, expects to host approximately 350,000 total visitors for both this game and the FIFA World Cup 26™ SF Bay Area.
What can visitors expect in terms of hotel availability?
Based on trends from the last Super Bowl in Santa Clara and previous high-profile events at Levi’s® Stadium, hotel rooms in and around the city are expected to sell out quickly. Many hotels near the stadium will have a three-to-four-night minimum stay, so visitors are encouraged to book early and enjoy the full experience.
Will there be special events, fan experiences, or public screenings in Santa Clara surrounding the game?
While official event programming is still in development, Santa Clara invites travelers to enjoy a unique blend of citywide culture, history, and attractions. We’re home to Fortune 500 headquarters, premier shopping, diverse restaurants, and access to Northern California’s top destinations.
How can visitors get around Santa Clara? What will transportation look like for Football’s Biggest Night?
Santa Clara is working closely with Levi’s® Stadium, public transit, and rideshare providers to ensure a seamless experience for all visitors. Expect optimized traffic flow, expanded transit options, and clear signage to guide you throughout the city.
Safety and security associated with Super Bowl LX activities will require the temporary closure of streets and public infrastructure in the areas around Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara and Moscone Center in San Francisco. Click here to learn more about impacted areas.
How can visitors and residents receive timely information in case of emergencies?
How to Sign Up for Super Bowl LX Alerts: Depending on where you will be during Super Bowl week, simply text the appropriate keyword to the corresponding number to receive urgent notifications from local public safety agencies in that jurisdiction:
- Santa Clara (Levi’s Stadium area): Text SBLX to 888-777 to get Santa Clara County’s emergency alerts for the Super Bowl. This will cover the stadium vicinity as well as countywide alerts.
- San Mateo County: Text SuperBowl to 672-83 to receive San Mateo County’s emergency alerts during Super Bowl activities. Many visitors will travel through or stay in San Mateo County, so officials urge them to sign up for any critical updates along the way.
- San Francisco: Text SuperBowlSF to 888-777 to sign up for San Francisco’s AlertSF notifications tailored for Super Bowl events in the city. San Francisco will host several Super Bowl week events, and this opt-in ensures you’ll receive any urgent alerts specific to the city.
Once subscribed, users will receive text messages if there are significant emergencies or public safety announcements in that area. Example messages may contain information about unexpected road closures, public transit updates, severe weather warnings, or any security incidents. By choosing the right alert sign-up based on your Super Bowl plans, you’ll stay informed and safe wherever you go during the event.
These special opt-in texts are supplemental to each county’s main alert system and focus specifically on Super Bowl-related notifications. The Super Bowl alert subscription is temporary and event-specific. Once the game concludes, anyone who registered for alerts by texting the codes above will automatically be removed from receiving further Super Bowl alerts. Those already signed up for the primary local alert systems, such as Santa Clara County’s AlertSCC, San Mateo County’s SMC Alert, or San Francisco’s AlertSF, will continue to receive those routine emergency alerts to their preferred devices as normal.
