Santa Clara Convention Center regularly hosts the Academy of Fencing Masters (AFM) Super Regional Tournament. Known as the “mega tournament,” this competition covers the Super Youth Circuit, the Regional Junior and Cadet Circuit, and the Regional Open Circuit (ROC), all in the course of a single weekend. Fencers from across the country show up to compete in this lively showdown, but it’s hard to beat the West Coast—both in hosting and in fencing.

Santa Clara hosts a wide variety of annual shows, competitions, and invitationals for recreational and accelerated gymnasts. Both the U.S. Gymnastics Championships and the sold-out 2016 U.S. Olympic Gymnastics Team Trials were held at the nearby SAP Center.
