The entire Bay Area is anticipated to welcome approximately 260,000 visitors from outside of the region. This year’s tournament will be the largest in FIFA history, featuring an expanded 48-team format with matches hosted across three separate countries.

Based on trends from previous high-profile events at Levi’s® Stadium, hotel rooms in and around Santa Clara are expected to sell out quickly, especially at properties closest to the stadium. Some hotels have a three-to-four-night minimum stay, so visitors are encouraged to book early and enjoy the full experience.

Santa Clara is working closely with Levi’s® Stadium, Amtrak, VTA, ACE, Caltrain, and rideshare providers to ensure a seamless transportation experience for all visitors. Optimizing traffic flow, expanding public transit options, and providing clear signage throughout relevant areas of the city are just some of the ways we’re implementing this plan.
